Why Helicopter Rescue Matters

In the rugged terrain of British Columbia’s Southern Interior, minutes matter. When people are injured, lost, or critically ill in remote locations, ground access is often slow or impossible.

Helicopter rescue allows trained specialists to reach patients quickly, insert directly by rescue winch, and begin lifesaving care where no road or trail exists. Faster access means safer rescues, earlier medical treatment, and better outcomes.

This capability exists because of community support. Donor contributions ensure aircraft, crews, equipment, and training are always ready, so when the call comes, help arrives from above.

Every minute saved can mean a life saved.
